The Indie Bible is in it’s 10th edition and looks to be a very handy resource. For instance, there are a couple of different sections that our record label could use exposure in: “reviewers of independent music” and “radio stations willing to play independent music”.

This hip hop instrumental crept its way out of the archive, as a reminder of past collaborations. This beat was made by an old friend of mine called Eli, who is a talented graphic artist and producer. While he is wandering around somewhere on this globe, he left Fried Roots with this last instrumental years ago. It was a very important track for me personally as I got to see how music is more than chopped samples but arrangement and creativity.

Fried Roots has evolved from days of making the best out of the equipment we could afford, recording on old boom boxes to new studio settings. Along the way, we have picked up different techniques to master our music along with lyricism accompanying us on the mission.

As a fan, do you expect more from and indie musician or an established musician? We want to bridge that gap that could make our listeners happy instead of impatient or annoyed. Let us know what you would like to see from musicians and also add some other factors that have been left off the list.
We are documenting our steps to getting some income flowing into our independent label through music licensing. The key here is establishing independent success. Fried Roots is on a mission to let the music sway in between the eardrums and increase our digital income.
