Wrapping up this Friday with a little research. I just received The Indie Bible 10th Edition in the mail and plan to develop a plan of attack for Fried Roots.
The publication is in it’s 10th edition and looks to be a very handy resource. For instance, there are a couple of different sections that our record label could use exposure in: “reviewers of independent music” and “radio stations willing to play independent music”.
Fried Roots is founded on the principle of developing strong strategies with a grass roots approach. The Indie Bible seems to have some very useful information for indie record labels:
- 4200 publications to review your music
- 3500 radio stations that will play your music
- Marketing and Promotion tips
- Indie Articles on the music business and distribution
- Resources for musicians and songwriters
To give it its proper review, I will update you later with our marketing efforts and replies. This is a good start for indie musicians to begin their marketing plans, defining their sound and making this submission process effortless and effective.
Stay tuned for new instrumentals coming next week. I plan begin a new series of free music for our faithful readers.
If it ain’t Fried, it ain’t Fried Roots.
