Fried Roots has evolved from days of making the best out of the equipment we could afford, recording on old boom boxes to new studio settings. Along the way, we have picked up different techniques to master our music along with lyricism accompanying us on the mission.

This track “Drunken Elegance” was written by me back in the day. The date of origin is still in question, according to my computer, this track was last modified in 2004. I wanted to create a playful track about the liquor encounters of a young emcee.

This track has a special meaning for me. The wordplay made me enjoy lyricism to its ultimate potential, and made me believe that Lost Thought is alive and ready to begin my musical expedtion. The track centers around different liquors representing different scenarios and let “my lyrics take the field like the Brewers”.
