This hip hop instrumental crept its way out of the archive, as a reminder of past collaborations. This beat was made by an old friend of mine called Eli, who is a talented graphic artist and producer. While he is wandering around somewhere on this globe, he left Fried Roots with this last instrumental years ago. It was a very important track for me personally as I got to see how music is more than chopped samples but arrangement and creativity.
You pour your blood sweat and tears into making music that you want to hear, you better be damn proud of it too. We all manifest our excitement in various ways. Fried Roots has evolved from days of making the best out of the equipment we could afford, recording on old boom boxes to new studio settings. Along the way, we have picked up different techniques to master our music along with lyricism accompanying us on the mission.
